Wood on the walls
Unique wall pieces
Massive works, unique creations, which, like paintings, give life to walls,
because they are so many pieces of nature, that's the essence of this series.
From figurative to abstract, from raw to refined and from perfect to imperfect, each piece comes as it should.
These pieces are not hollowed out and live according to humidity, temperature and the passing of time.
Because of their weight, you will need a solid wall and a metal rod so that they stay in the place you give them.
The Grumpy WalrusA piece from the "Trophies" series, whose idea is to replace the heads of stuffed animals (which enthroned over the chimneys or on the overloaded walls of the holiday homes) by wooden trophies. He has a sinister look, that walrus, with his two tusks coming out of his mouth. Yet this one will not hurt a fly, he will stay on the wall, grumble gently observing life. See more

The DotA piece that will end a wall as you finish a sentence. We know the formula "Less is More", a piece reserved for lovers of simplicity, this massive ebonized oak holds in itself an obvious truth. See more

"Ah, I know now
That nothing has more price than a faithful mehari,
Whose hump is erect and the flanks are tight,
Like a mat with a tight weft,
On which is saddled a saddle to his waist,
Who knows how to hurry, as soon as he sees you
The root of absegh which serves you of whip.
So, you go your way, loving the one who loves you,
The pace of your camel only disturbs the silence. "

Little BuddhaA piece from the "Guardians" series. In the manner of the Roman Lares (They are deities related to a given place, they are called to protect the human beings whoever they are). In this series I wanted faces to take a benevolent look at a home. When I introduced this piece, everyone saw something different: an Asian child, who sulks, whose foot is crushed, who is drunk, who is cold, who whistles, who thinks, who has eaten lemon, who wants a kiss, who gives a kiss, in short, as many possible interpretations to this pouting comical. So let's say it's all of this at a time. See more

Organic MoonImperfect, deformed and organic, an almost living moon. Mark Twain wrote: "Each of us is a moon, with a hidden face that no one sees," this unknown face is what the dark texture of the piece represents, complex and dangerous, vibrating and scratched. See more

The BeardedA piece from the "Guardians" series. In the manner of the Roman Lares (They are deities related to a given place, they are called to protect the human beings whoever they are). In this series I wanted faces to take a benevolent look at a home. So this old man smokes his pipe, serenely, because everything is fine. His beard is pyrogravure, I let you imagine the time spent. The Arverne ShieldYou can try to reduce the risk by working on the log, but you never really know what's inside. When I turned this piece I did not know it was very fragile, and despite my precautions it exploded while spinning. So I recovered all the pieces and I fixed them all together by screwing them to boards. We often talk about the scars of wood, they are more than obvious here and give this piece its strong character. See more

The Crying BullA piece from the "Trophies" series, whose idea is to replace the heads of stuffed animals (which enthroned over the chimneys or on the overloaded walls of the holiday homes) by wooden trophies. The name of this piece comes from the wood itself, when I carved it the wood had a crack between the edge of the circle and the right eye, when the wood dried, the month after, the crack closed and the crying bull calmed down. I kept his name for the story. See more

The NailAn abstract piece that symbolizes the passage from one world to another. With its clear and natural wood on one side and ebonized on the other, this piece is all in contrast. Its central element is inverted in its shades, black on the light background and clear and bright on a dark background. Everyone can see the trip he wants, the line he passes, the border he crosses.
